About Us

John & Kim Clinton are Holy Cow!’s owners and they are passionate about sailing … they regularly race Holy Cow! on the harbour and in July head up the east coast to Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands for the winter regattas. They sailed Holy Cow! in (and won) the Cruising Division of the 2009 Rolex Sydney to Hobart Race.

In John’s other life (his night job) he is the drummer and occasional singer for the award winning country rock band the Wolverines. The band has a large repertoire of sailing songs (originals as well as covers) so they regularly entertain at Sailing Regattas along the East Coast.

Kim has labelled herself “galley slave” because she spends so much time below deck! In fact it’s because she loves creating culinary delicacies…

Kim is also Holy Cow!’s navigator when sailing offshore or racing.

“Shoni”, John & Kim’s black & white Amstaff, is an integral part of the crew, having acquired her “sea legs” sailing up to Queensland at just 9 weeks of age
